Privacy Policy

KomuraSoft LLC (hereafter, "we" or "the Company") recognizes the protection of our customers' personal information as an important responsibility, and establishes this privacy policy to ensure appropriate handling.

1. Definition of personal information

Personal information refers to information that can identify a specific individual, such as name, email address, or other descriptive information.

2. Collection of personal information

We may collect personal information through the following means.

• When contacted through our inquiry form (Google Forms)
• When contacted via email
• When contacted via WeChat
• When contacted via WhatsApp
• Through contract documents at the start of business
• Automatic collection of access information when browsing the site (see section 5)

3. Purpose of use of personal information

We will use the personal information we collect for the following purposes.

• Responding to and handling inquiries
• Preparing and submitting quotes
• Fulfilling contracts and performing work
• Improving the quality of our services
• Understanding site usage, improving the site, and investigating faults or unauthorized access

4. Provision of personal information to third parties

We will not provide your personal information to third parties except in the following cases.

• When you have given consent
• When disclosure is required by law
• When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property

Access analytics data is processed through the Google and Cloudflare services described in section 5.

5. About access analysis tools

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) through Cloudflare Zaraz and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Without asking you to enter information, we also collect the following access context automatically to understand usage, improve the site, and investigate faults or unauthorized access.

On normal pages, this includes the canonical public page path; referrer origin (scheme, host and port only, without query strings or fragments); request IP address; Cloudflare's estimated country, region, city, continent and time zone; ASN and network provider; HTTP/TLS information; and edge location. Where available, we also collect broad OS and browser categories, device type, screen and viewport size ranges, browser language and time zone, connection quality categories and data-saving settings. We do not collect precise GPS location or create a new device fingerprint.

To recognize repeat visits from the same browser, we store a random UUID in the komurasoft_uid cookie. This is a pseudonymous identifier, not generated from your name or similar information; it is not fully anonymous data. We use it for per-user aggregation in GA4 and to correlate the internal access logs described here. The cookie expires up to two years after the last visit.

Detailed records from this additional collection, including raw IP addresses, city names, network provider names and UUIDs, are stored only in Cloudflare Workers Logs with authenticated, permission-controlled access, and are not returned by a public API. Logs are retained for up to seven days: three days on the Free plan and seven on the Paid plan. See Cloudflare Workers Logs.

When a 404 page is displayed, we also record the validated requested path and, where supplied by the browser, the validated referring path within this site in the same private logs to investigate faults. URL query strings and fragments are excluded. If the requested path cannot be validated, we redact it and record that the error occurred without including that path.

The added visitor_context parameters in GA4 are country and region codes, continent, ASN, time zone, broad OS/browser/device categories, viewport and connection quality categories, data-saving settings, and context_id, a random UUID for matching each record to the internal log. These additional parameters do not contain raw IP addresses, city names or network provider names. The existing GA4 visitor-ID integration continues. This does not mean that Google's standard processing or location estimation stops using IP addresses.

Both the browser and server respect DNT (Do Not Track) and GPC (Global Privacy Control) opt-outs for this additional collection. It is disabled for the China distribution and staging builds. You can reject or delete cookies in your browser, but rejecting cookies alone does not stop the recording of IP addresses associated with requests.

This site uses the OpenAI Measurement Pixel sitewide to measure ChatGPT Ads. It uses a first-party cookie or click reference to attribute visits driven by those ads. When a contact page in any of the site's languages is viewed, the browser sends a "page_viewed" event to OpenAI. This event does not include form answers, names, or email addresses. For details, see OpenAI's conversion measurement documentation. You can block these cookies and browser tracking through your browser settings as described above.

To help match conversions, when available we normalize the existing UUID in the komurasoft_uid cookie, hash it with SHA-256, and send the hash to OpenAI with this event as a pseudonymous external ID. We do not send the original UUID to OpenAI. This ID identifies a browser; it is not a customer ID that identifies the same person across devices.

6. About cookies

This site uses cookies to improve usability and for access analysis. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer.

You can refuse to accept cookies by changing your browser settings, but some features may not operate correctly in that case.

7. Management of personal information

We will keep your personal information accurate and up to date, and will take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, and other incidents.

8. Disclosure, correction, and deletion of personal information

If the individual themselves requests disclosure, correction, or deletion of their personal information, we will respond promptly after confirming the person's identity. Please contact us through our contact page or contact@comcomponent.com.

9. Changes to the privacy policy

We may change this privacy policy as necessary. The revised privacy policy will take effect from the time it is published on this site.
